Abstract
<PICT:0866529/III/1> A pipette comprising an integral glass body having a capillary section, an aspirating section and an intermediate bulb has the interior surface of the bulb frosted to facilitate inspection for dryness. In the illustrated embodiment the free end of the aspirating tube 4 is tapered and the bulb, which has an inwardly projecting ridge 7, contains a mixing bead 6. The pipette may be made on a mandrel as described and claimed in Specification 866,519, a thin steel shell, preferably made of a pair of cups and containing the bead, being used as a former and thereafter being dissolved, e.g. in 50% nitric acid.
