866,296. Storage batteries. YUASA BATTERY CO. Ltd. Aug. 10, 1959, No. 27287/59. Drawings to Specification. Class 53. [Also in Group XXVIII] A tubular electrode for a storage cell or battery is made by laying a strip of glass fibre cloth on a mat of glass fibres, the mat projecting on each side beyond the strip, and rolling the combinations to form a tube, using a suitable adhesive. The tube is parted with active material around a conductive spine and is sealed in the tube by top and bottom connecting bars.
