Abstract

866,081. Plug-boards; two-part couplings. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. March 20, 1959 [March 20, 1958; March 22, 1958], No. 9849/59. Addition to 803,006. Class 38 (1). In a crossed-bar distributer according to the parent Specification, the conductive members 1, 2 each comprise a pair of parallel strips 3, 4, each of which is formed with transverse troughs 5 at the cross-over points and the troughs of the strips co-operate to form resilient sockets. The troughs extend along lateral extensions 6 of the strips and the outer ends of the sockets are reinforced by rings 7. Each conductive member is carried by an insulating member 8, Fig. 2, formed with recesses 10 to receive the sockets and slots to receive the strips 3, 4, the two members 8 being separated by an apertured insulating plate 12. Fig. 4 shows one of the plugs comprising an insulating handle 14 carrying coaxial contacts 15, 16 connected by a rectifier 160.
