Abstract

863,653. Portable shelters. MORGAN, F. June 1, 1959 [Sept. 8, 1958], No. 28707/58. Class 20(1) A portable shelter for vehicles &c. comprises a stationary part consisting of a side and roof member 7 rigid with an end member 2 and a half end member 8, and a movable part hinged to the top of the member 7 and consisting of a roof member 4 hinged to a side member 3, the member 3 being rigid with a half end member 5. The movable part is held by a strut 12 in a first open position as illustrated. The member 4 is bent further back and the member 3 pivoted thereto to assume a second open position as in Fig. 2 (not shown). The shelter may be formed of a framework of wooden bars and tubes covered by sheet material (Fig. 5, not shown, refers).
