863,257. Vaporizers. CUSHING, G. A. Dec. 29, 1959 [Nov. 30, 1959], No. 40696/59. Class 7(3). A gasket for inserting between a carburetter and the intake manifold of an internal combustion engine, comprises an insulated electrical resistance heating element B located in a recess D in the gasket material A so as to be shielded from contact with the fuel mixture. As shown, one end of the resistance element is adapted to be connected to earth on the manifold or carburetter flange and the other end is connected to an insulated lead E. The face of the assembly is covered by mica F.
