A trimming device for finger-nails comprises a handpiece a, preferably of plastics material and of tapered form, housing an electric motor b with its spindle c projecting from one end of the handpiece a to receive a grinding wheel d or disc e, the electric lead f to the motor extending from the other end. The motor may be powered by batteries j, k housed in a box h separated from the trimming device by a partition a on which a switch n is mounted. The batteries may be replaced by a transformer (not shown) to enable the device to be operated from the mains. A brass cuticle cutter s and a rubber cuticle tip t may be mounted on the spindle c.
