861,674. Balls for games; pneumatic and spinning toys. KRIEGER, W. Nov. 20, 1959 [Jan. 12, 1959], No. 39483/59. Classes 132(2) and 132(3). An inflated or inflatable ball 1 is mounted centrally by links 7 in a hoop 4. As shown four links are used but the ball may be mounted on two diametrically opposite links in such manner that it can rotate relatively to the hoop. As shown each link carries an inclined plane 9 which causes the ball, after throwing, to descend slowly while rotating with the hoop horizontal. The device may be used as a top, spinning either on the ball with the hoop horizontal or on the hoop which then lies vertically. The links may be attached directly to the ball or to netting 2 tightly stretched thereover.
