Abstract
In apparatus for playing a game simulating volley ball, sets of projectors 6 are mounted on shafts 11, the latter being operable by the players to project a ball to and fro over a net 3. The playing surface slopes towards slots 15 provided one at each end of the apparatus for the reception of spent balls, the latter being directed via sloping surfaces to troughs 17 ready for re-insertion into the apparatus via aperture 14. In an alternative embodiment utilizing only one ball, each end of the apparatus incorporates a device for raising the ball from the base of the apparatus to a reentry point, said device being coupled with means for stopping the raising of the ball after it has been raised a predetermined number of times.
