Abstract

A composition for applying to air filters in order to retain dust thereon consists essentially of a blend of a mineral or synthetic lubricating oil and a Fischer Tropsch wax have a melting point in the range 150-245 DEG F., the amount of wax being 1-5% by weight of the composition. Synthetic lubricating oils mentioned are ester lubricants such as dioctyl sebacate.
