[Also in Group XIII] A cooling tower 2 has a curved member 9 associated with the upper lintel 5 of the air inlet 4, so disposed that the air jet entering the tower is substantially horizontal and fills the entire height of. the air inlet through which it moves at a substantially uniform speed. The member 9 may be formed as a bulge on the lintel. Specification 374,077 is referred to.
