Abstract

851,247. Gas filters. FIBREGLASS Ltd. June 22, 1959 [July 11, 1958], No. 22277/58. Class 8(2). A replaceable gas filter unit comprises a corrugated sheet e, Fig. 2, of resin bonded fibres, e.g. glass having a pair of opposite edges engaging corrugated clamping pieces c, Fig. 3, the whole being carried by a marginal frame comprising an inner portion b nesting within an outer portion a. The sheet e comprises three layers of chemical resistant borosilicate glass fibres bonded by a phenol resin. A reinforcing grill of expanded metal may extend across one or both faces of the frame.
