Abstract
A copolymer of vinylidene fluoride with either chlorotrifluoroethylene or hexafluoropropylene is stabilized, particularly against the evolution of HF at above 200 DEG C., by dispersing throughout the copolymer 0,1-33,3 (preferably 5-15, or e.g. 2) wt. per cent thereof, of sodium fluoride. It is stated that incorporation of the sodium fluoride improves the processability of the copolymers.
