Abstract
847,870. Photographic processes. JARNHS ELEKTRISKA A.B. April 11, 1958 [Feb. 15, 1958], No. 11560/58. Class 98(2) [Also in Group XVI] An address printing plate consists of a base layer 1 and a thin covering layer 2 of a material which is softer and less permeable to X-rays than the layer 1, so that during the embossing of the plate the layer 2 is thinned out in the region 3 of the embossures. The plate may be used additionally for transferring the embossed image onto a photographic film by means of X-rays. The layer 1 may be of metal, e.g. iron or zinc, or plastic. The layer 2, which may be glued, sprayed or otherwise deposited on the layer 1, may consist of'lead, lead trioxide, lead oxide barium sulphate or plastic material incorporating finely divided material with low permeability to X-rays.
