847,662. Electric heating. BELTRAMI, A., [trading as V.A.M. VETRARIA AMBROSIANA MILANO]. April 15, 1957 [April 23, 1956], No. 12241/57. Class 39(3). [Also in Groups VI and XXV] In an espresso coffee machine, the boiler 3 and cylinder 31 are supported on a platform 2 forming part of a base member and are detachably secured by a pivot 21 on an upstanding part 2 of the base member which engages a seating 23 on the boiler wall and a half ring 24 embracing the cylinder whose ends 27, 28 engage in grooves 29 in the platform. As shown, boiler 3 rests on a spiral electric triangular section resistance 4 with terminals 5 and 6 inserted in pins 7, 8 which co-operate with a plug 9 mounted centrally in a spring biased concave reflector 12. A bayonet fitting for a filter cup in which powdered coffee is placed is provided on the lower part of cylinder 31 which communicates with the boiler through apertures 31 which are uncovered when piston 33 is lifted to draw in water which is expelled through the filter cup when the piston is lowered.
