Abstract

847,351. Tapping casks &c. SANKEY & SONS Ltd., J. July 9, 1956 [June 30, 1955], No. 18983/55. Class 21. [Also in Group XXVIII] A container for liquid and gas under pressure has a dispensing aperture in the side wall comprising a screwed bush 23 having a delivery tube 37 extending to the bottom of the container and a closure member 31 screwed into the bush. The top of the container is provided with a similar aperture for a gas connection. A dispensing tap 33, forming a bayonet-type connection with the bush 23, has a member 66 formed with a plurality of axially extending grooves 68 to operate the closure member 31 as described in Specifications 449,764 and 670,977. Specifications 397,257, 685,858 and 847,354 also are referred to.
