Abstract

In a metallic pigment-containing paste for use in a paint, 10 to 40% of the total metallic pigment present is leafing aluminium powder in a particle diameter range below 150 microns, the remainder of the metallic pigment being non-leafing. The paste may contain zinc and aluminium pigments only, the zinc pigment being in the size range 0 to 60 microns. An example is described.
