Abstract

Polymerizable compositions based on vinyl acetate co-polymers and polyepoxides as claimed in the parent Specification are applied to surfaces comprising polyvinyl chloride e.g. by spraying, brushing or spreading. In an example, a lacquer comprising a solution of a co-polymer of vinyl acetate and crotonic acid in a mixture of toluene and butyl acetate, benzoic acid modified polypropylene adipate, xylene, butanol, diphenylolpropane diglycide ether and diethylenetriamine is applied to polyvinyl chloride leathercloth by spraying and then stoved at 120 DEG C. for one hour.
