Abstract

A curable composition comprises polychlorobutadiene latex, phenyl beta napthylamine dispersion, zinc oxide dispersion, sulphur dispersion, sodium sulphates of higher fatty alcohols, sodium acrylate polymer emulsion and an aluminium slurry comprising methyl cellulose, aluminium extra fine lining powder, and a non-ionic wetting agent.ALSO:A laminated electromagnetic-wave-absorbing wall comprises four laminations consisting respectively of (1) metal sheeting, wire mesh or polystyrene or glass-fibre-reinforced low-pressure laminating resin, (2) hard or soft foam rubber, inorganic cement foamed or filled with exploded mica, wood, glass-fibre-reinforced plastic, air, or polytrifluorochloroethylene, (3) conductive carbon-loaded synthetic or natural rubber, conductive carbon-loaded inorganic cement, polyelectrolyte adhesive, ethylene glycol-plasticized rubber, vinyl plastic, copper sulphate hydrates, or glass or hardened water-glass loaded with soot and (4) a preferably externally roughened layer of barium strontium titanate, titanium dioxide ceramic sheet, or copper, aluminium or titanate particles loaded into synthetic or natural rubber, vinyl sheeting or glass fibre reinforced plastic. In the particular embodiment described the first layer is of aluminium foil, the second of foamed, cured, natural rubber and the third of natural rubber and channel black calendered into an open-weave cotton fabric and cured. The last layer is calendered on the surface of the third layer and cured, and comprises a composition of polychlorobutadiene latex, phenyl beta naphthylamine dispersion, zinc oxide dispersion, sulphur dispersion, sodium sulphates of higher fatty alcohols, sodium acrylate polymer and an aluminium slurry comprising methyl cellulose, aluminium powder, and a non-ionic wetting agent.
