843,265. Electrostatic precipitation. HOLMES & CO. Ltd., W. C., and COSBY, W. T. Feb. 6, 1957 [Feb. 7, 1956], No. 3733/56. Class 39(1). A combustible gas is purified by detarring the combustible gas, oxidising nitric oxide and precipitating gum by means of an electrostatic precipitator of the type, such as described in Specification 776,611, in which the discharge electrodes are formed of multi-strand barbed wire.
