Abstract

Acetylenes are removed from butadienebearing hydrocarbon streams by contacting with from more than 1 to 3 parts by weight, per part of hydrocarbon, of aqueous cuprous ammonium acetate solution containing less than 2 moles per litre of cuprous ion.
