843,151. Handrails. MUDD, D. P. Dec 11, 1958 [Dec. 11, 1957], No. 38567/57. Class 45. A curved portion of handrail between two adjoining sections 2 thereof comprises a core 7 and a spring 1. The spring is fixed to sleeves 5, 5a engaging within the section and one end of the core is fixed to the sleeve 5 whilst the other end is slidable within the sleeve 5a. The spring and core may be of metal, or of plastic materials, and the curved portion may be covered with a plastic sleeve or binding. Specifications 733,078 and 763,616 are referred to.
