Class 86 [Also in Group XIII] An ice cream freezer for insertion in a domestic cabinet comprises a cylindrical mix container 1 provided with a cover 2 carrying an electric motor and the gearing shown adapted to drive a mixing scoop 5, a rapidly-rotating planetary agitator 6, a hinged side-wall scraper 3, and a hinged bottom-wall scraper 4. Thickening of the mix slows the motor and, by actuating a centrifugally-controlled switch, cuts off the electric supply thereto.
