Abstract
840,684. Detecting radiation. GRAVINER MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd., and WILKINSON SWORD Ltd. June 10, 1958 [June 14, 1957; Dec. 17, 1957], Nos. 18760/57 and 39143/57. Class 40 (3). Means for detecting and indicating the direction of radiation comprises a block of photo-cells 10 individually connected by conductors 22a, 22b to correspondingly arranged electro-luminescent cells 15. The radiation may be directed on to the cells 10 by a single lens 12 or by a number of optical systems. An audible or visible alarm 25 may be provided in a common part of the circuits. The conductors 22a, 22b may be connected to the cells 15, a multi-core cable 22, or by a single cable shared on a time division basis.
