[Also in Group XIV] A sickle for trimming hedges comprises a series of singleedged blades 1, 2 arranged to provide a pair of parallel edges 5, 6 of a length greater than the spacing between the edges, the blades being sandwiched between a pair of flat members 3, 4, and the device includes a handle 8 extending from one end of the flat members in a direction parallel thereto. The flat members may be secured together by bolts, straps, or adhesive and may be integral with pieces forming the handle.
