838,204. Dashpots. SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN A. B. July 1, 1958 [July 3, 1957], No. 21033/58. Class 108(3) [Also in Group XXIX] In a rotary type dashpot, a shaft 1 may be manually rotated in a cylinder 6 by turning a wheel 14. Rotation of the shaft 1 to its original position by a spring 2, is damped by a high viscosity material which fills a space 7. This material is agitated by a member 5, which may be a feed screw or an eccentrically disposed body on the shaft 1. A clutch 8 allows the shaft 1 to be manually rotated in one direction without causing damping to occur. The dashpot may be applied to a ventilator (see Group XXIX)
