Abstract
837,389. Pocket inhalers. RECORDATI LABORATORIO FARMACOLAGICO S.p.A. Nov. 3, 1958 [Nov. 5, 1957], No. 35275/58. Class 81 (2). A pocket inhaler comprises a hollow cylindrical body 1 with a central partition 2 enclosing oppositely arranged inhaling elements 5a, 5b containing different volatile substances to be inhaled, conduits 8a, 8b being formed between the body 1 and the inhaling elements, preferably by means of ribs 4a, 4b either on the elements or on the inner wall of the body 1, for the flow of air drawn in by inhalation. The ribs 4a, 4b are widened to form chambers 88a, 88b at the base of each body of volatile substance, which may be in solid form or dispersed in a carrier such as cotton wool A, B. Holes 7a, 7b in the ends 6a, 6b of the elements 5a, 5b are normally covered by screw caps as 10b.
