[Also in Group XVI] A demand meter has printing wheels in the form of ten-panelled code symbol carriers, each panel bearing raised code symbols disposed at one or more corners of a rectangular area on the panel. As shown, Fig. 1, a symbol carrier 2 of a multi-denominational train 20 to 23, Fig. 4, is rotatably mounted on a shaft 1 and bears ten symbol panels 3 on its periphery. Each panel may have raised rectangles in one or two out of four possible positions thereon representing decimal digits in coded form.
