835,131. Combine harvesters. MASSEYFERGUSON (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd. [formerly MASSEY - HARRIS - FERGUSON (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd., Feb. 27, 1958 [Dec. 4, 1956], No. 37098/56. Class 6(3). [Also in Group II] In a combine-harvester, a rotary graincleaning sieve is provided, of the type comprising a helical feed-member 8 mounted inside a reticulated drum 6 so as to feed the grain therealong, spillage of grain over the inner edge of the convolutions of the feed-member being prevented by disposing the convolutions around the circumference of a tube 7, the tube, feedmember and drum together forming a rotary unit. The unit is mounted on a shaft 9 which also carries a worm 11 to feed grain from the inlet 5, adjacent to the delivery end of a grainelevator (not shown). The-casing housing the unit is forked to provide two outlets, one discharging the cleaned grain from the interior of the sieve and the other being fed by a worm 12 which receives gleanings from the sieve.
