Abstract

833,041. Bus-bar supports. SIMPLEX ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. April 23, 1958 [April 23, 1957; Jan. 18, 1958], Nos. 12828/57 and 1786/58. Class 36. Bus-bars 16 (Fig. 2), are supported, for example in a switchboard, by members each consisting of an inner part 18 of a resilient insulating material capable of absorbing shock loads without fracture, e.g. nylon or polythene, and an outer part 19 of insulating material of greater rigidity, e.g. resin-bonded paper or wood: Each inner part 18 is built up of a number of components shaped as shown in Fig. 5, the recesses 29a, 30a, 31a and 29b, 30b, 31b of adjacent components forming apertures into which bus-bars of different sizes and/or orientations may be fitted as shown in Fig. 2. Additional recesses may be provided to cater for still further orientations. The inner components and the outer parts 19 are connected by bolts 20. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 748,280.
