Abstract

832,152. Sewing machines. PFAFF A. G., G. M. July 4, 1958 [July 16, 1957], No. 21426/58. Class 112 A sewing machine presser foot is formed on its undersurface with at least one longitudinal groove, its leading edge is formed with a pluarlity of recesses or notches communicating with said groove or grooves, and a forwardly extending toe portion carries a plurality of transversely extending prongs the upper surfaces of which project above the upper surface of the presser foot. As shown, the undersurface of the presser foot is formed with a pair of longitudinal grooves 3, 4, the front ends of which are formed with slots 6, and a forwardly extending toe 10 carries a pair of transversely disposed prongs 9, 11. The wall 5 separating said grooves extends in the form of projections 8, 8a into the needle aperture 7. The presser foot is intended for use in sewing on decorative cords and ribbons.
