Class 39(3) An induction heating device for use with extrusion presses comprises a body member 1 provided with a sleeve 2 and having annular end grooves 3. Longitudinal bores which accommodate conductors 4 are formed in the body and the conductors are joined at their ends by connectors 5. At each end of the device, connectors (not shown) are provded to enable extremities 4a of two of the conductors to be connected together, or to enable current supply terminals 8 to be connected to the extremities 4a. In use, the terminals remote from the extrusion press are connected to the adjacent conductors 4a, and current supply cables are connected to these terminals; the conductors 4a at the other end of the device are connected together. The arrangement permits ready reversal and re-connecton of the device after one end of the sleeve 2 has become more worn than the other.
