Abstract

828,341. Lifting jacks. PRIMA INDUSTRIES Ltd. Dec. 20, 1957 [Jan. 11, 1957], No. 1091/57. Class 78 (3). A lifting jack comprises a manually rotatable screw 13 housed between a pair of spaced channel members 111, 112 which are arranged to define slots 113 through which extend trunnions 191 on a nut 19. A lifting crutch 20, pivoted on the trunnions, is adapted to engage a tube secured to a motor car. A rubber buffer 21 prevents damage to the car during lifting operations. The screw operating bevel gear 16 is secured to a shaft formed on a cranked portion 17 of the hand crank 171.
