Class 75(4) [Also in Group XI(b)] Device for producing rapidly interrupted light beam, comprises parabolic reflector 1 in which is mounted a slotted cylinder 2 surrounding a lamp 3 at the focus of the parabola. A motor 5 drives a slotted cylinder 4 concentric with the cylinder 2. The slots are preferably uniformly spaced around the cylinders, the width being half a slot. The device is used as a source of modulated light in conjunction with a photo-electric cell, in burglar alarms and like apparatus.
