826,698. Door catches. GREENMAN, C. Feb. 7, 1958 [Feb. 8, 1957], No. 4402/57. Class 44 A door-locating catch comprises a main element 1 mounted on the door and a cooperating nose piece 14 mounted on the door frame, the main element embodying a spring-loaded pivotally-mounted locating catch piece 2 arranged for over-centre action so as to be maintained by a spring 4 in two alternative positions. In the open position of the door, Fig. 7, the operative end 11 of the catch piece 2 is inclined at an angle to the door and has a circular opening 12 for the reception of the nose 15 of the nose piece 14; further closing movement of the door will cause the catch piece to be thrown to its alternative position to hold the door closed and located. Instead of the circular opening 12, the operative end 11 is formed as a cupped socket portion which may be longitudinally divided.
