A self-propelled swather comprises two endless belt conveyers 90 and 91 arranged to deliver the cut crop inwardly through a gap between them so as to form the two crop streams into a single swath, the conveyers being arranged to deliver at different levels. The conveyers are supported so as to be rearwardly and upwardly inclined on a framework 52 mounted on the front of, and extending across the full width of the machine, the inclination being adjustable. The framework 52 also serves to support the cutting mechanism which, together with the traction wheels 10 and 11, an adjustable reel 50 and the conveyer rollers 100 and 101, is driven from an internal combustion engine 37. In order to deliver the cut crop at different levels the conveyers may either be inclined at different angles to the horizontal in the transverse direction, as may have their inner rollers 100 and 101 vertically and transversely adjustable in the supporting framework 52 so as to adjust their delivery heights and vary the gap between them. Referring to Fig. 4, the forward end of the roller 100 is rotatably mounted in a plate 103 which is in turn mounted on a forward member 93 of the frame 52. The plate 103 is laterally adjustable by means of a bolt 105 which may engage any of a plurality of holes 106 in the member 93, and is vertically adjustable by means of a bolt 109 which may engage any of a plurality of holes 107 in the plate 103, together with a slot 108 in the member 93. The rearward end of the roller is adjustably mounted in the member 95 of the frame 52 in the same manner. The mounting of the roller 101 (see Fig. 5) is similar, but in this case the plate on which the roller is mounted is provided with a bracket 116 carrying an idler roller 117 which ensures the smooth running of the conveyer belt when the roller 101 is in its uppermost position.
