Abstract
825,014. Earthing electrodes. CULLINANE, A. J. Sept. 30, 1957 [Oct. 2, 1956], No. 30009/56. Drawings to Specification. Class 36. An electrical earthing system comprises an electrode lying in electrical contact with a compact mass of fine grained hygroscopic clay material comprising calcium montmorillorite, sodium montmorillonite, fireclay, ball clay, or china clay which has been treated with an alkali or an acid so that its pH value is approximately seven, in contact with the earth. The clay may be mixed with water and poured into a previously excavated space, or the mass of clay may be laid as a shallow bed on a rocky site.
