Abstract
The invention comprises salts of di-(4-amidinophenyl)-triazine-(N-1 : 3) with acylated amino-acids of the formula R-NH-X-COOH, wherein R is an aliphatic acyl residue of up to 4 carbon atoms and X is an alkylene group, preferably containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms. The salts are suitably made by reacting di-(4-amidinophenyl) - triazone - (N-1 :3) with the acylated amino-acid, in solution or suspension in water or an organic solvent. The products are used as medicaments against blood parasites. Examples describe the preparation of salts of di - (4 - aminophenyl) - triazene - (N - 1 : 3) with aceturic, acetylaminopropionic, o -acetylaminocaproic, propionylaminoacetic, and butyrylaminoacetic acids.
