Abstract
822,766. Magnetrons. ENGLISH ELECTRIC VALVE CO. Ltd. Feb. 7, -1958 [April 26, 1957], No. 13357/57. Class 39(1). In a multi-cavity magnetron tuned by plungers 3 carried on a movable disc 5, the disc is slotted at 7 between successive pairs of plungers in order to prevent spurious resonances. The relatively large slot 7 provides clearance for the cathode support, and the missing plunger at the top of Fig. 3 coincides with the output cavity.
