An hydraulic swash plate motor has a floating ring 13 between the cylirder block 8 and the stationary head 1 in which the supply and exhaust conduits are bored. Sealing is effected between ring and head by liquid pressure, the surface area of the ring open to pressure on the cylinder side being greater than those on the head side.
