Abstract

821,140. Perambulators, recumbent to sitting position. WILSON (PATENTS) Ltd., L. Jan. 1. 1957 [March 27, 1956], No. 9443/56. Class 108(1) A baby carriage or perambulator having a base member 2 is provided with a pivoted flap 7, capable of being aligned with or depressed angularly relatively to the rest of member 2 to form a compartment, the flap being interconnected on three sides with upholstery material to form walls when the flap is depressed. Member 2 and flap 7 are padded and upholstered at 8, e.g. with leather-cloth. In addition the base member is provided at 10 with a second hinged flap 11 strutted at 12 to form a back-rest. Catches 15 and a latch bar 16 are provided to maintain the flap 7 in the horizontal position.
