821,101. Insulators. MANUFACTURES DES GLACES ET PRODUITS CHIMIQUES SAINT-GOBAIN, CHAUNY & CIREY S.A., DES. March 22, 1956 [March 22, 1955], No. 8938/56. Class 36. An insulator comprises a core of glass or other mineral fibres arranged substantially parallel to the axis of the core and bonded with synthetic resin which comprises 5-20% of the weight of the core, and an outer insulating body associated with the core so that there is no space between the core and the body. The outer body may be of ceramic or toughened glass, or of glass powder or fibres bonded with a synthetic resin and may be pressed, moulded or stuck to the core, which may first be impregnated with silicones to fill any cavities it might contain.
