819,371. Bitumen emulsions. DUSSEK BITUMEN & TAROLEUM Ltd. Aug. 20, 1957 [Aug. 21, 1956], No. 25554/56. Class 1 (1). An aqueous bitumen emulsion is made with both anionic and cationic surface-acting agents. In examples, casein or liquid rosin are mixed with a long chain amine or a quaternary ammonium compound, e.g. cetylamine, stearylamine, heptadecenyl-, hydroxyethyl-glyoxalidine, or cetyl pyridinium bromide in the presence of a little potassium hydroxide. The bitumen emulsion is used as a binder for aggregate.
