Abstract
815,861. Educational appliances. STUDEBAKER, J. W., and STUDEBAKER, J. G. Feb. 27, 1957, No. 6596/57. Class 146(2). An educational aid comprises a pair of apertured sheets 55, 56 which can be superposed with the apertures 63 in register, in which the upper sheet 55 carries in association with each aperture 63 a printed question P and a supplementary opening 59 through which can be viewed a corresponding answer A carried on the lower sheet 56, whereby a worksheet may be inserted between sheets 55, 56 the answers written on the worksheet through the apertures 63 in the upper sheet and the worksheet then placed beneath the lower sheet so that the written answers viewed through the apertures 63 in the lower sheet may be compared with the correct answers printed on that sheet. In the assembly shown in Fig. 5 the top sheet 55 has apertures 63 each associated with a question P and a supplemetary opening 59, sheet 56 has apertures 63 each associated with an answer A to a question P on sheet 55, a question Q, and a supplementary opening 60, sheet 57 has apertures 63 each associated with an answer Az to a question Q on sheet 56, and a supplementary opening 61 (not shown), and sheet 58 is unapertured to provide a smooth writing surface or work sheets placed between the apertured sheets 55, 56, 57. The sheets, with apertures 63 aligned, may be joined by rings, sewing, stapling &c. to form a book. In use a work sheet is inserted between sheets 55, 56, and the answers to questions P written on the work sheet through apertures 63, and the work sheet is then inserted between sheets 56, 57, when the written answers, visible through apertures 63 may be compared with the printed answers A visible through openings 59. Similarly a work sheet may be inserted between sheets 56, 57 and the questions on sheet 56 answered &c. The apertures and openings are associated-with further questions and answers on the back of the sheets In the construction shown in Fig. 15 the answers are viewed through extensions 81, 83, 81 of apertures 80, 82, 80.
