815,297. Musical drums. TAYLOR, H. W. June 20, 1955, No. 17712/55. Class 88 (2). Individual tensioning elements spaced around the periphery of a-kettle drum may be adjusted simultaneously by the provision of sprocket wheels 8 which are driven by a chain 7 and are releasably connected to tensioning rods 3 by means of locking finger nuts 9 and 10. Individual adjustments of tension may be made by releasing the locking nuts or by removing the chain the tension of which is controlled by a jockey wheel 11 which is radially and vertically adjustable. Rubber buffers may be placed between the drum and the chain to damp vibrations of the chain.
