813,392. Releasable fastenings; hooks. NEW HYGIENE Ltd., and MACKEWN, A. R. Sept. 21, 1956 [Dec. 20, 1955], No. 36538/55. Classes 44 and 89(2) A device for suspending an article comprises means for carrying the article and fixing means located at one end of the carrying means and comprising a stem having at least two resilient flanges along the stem, the flanges being graduated in size with the smaller near the free end of the stem and the larger near the carrying means. As shown, a hook member for suspending a block 19 of disinfectant material under the inturned edge 18 of a lavatory pan comprises a stem 10 provided with discs 12-15 of resilient material and a hook portion 17 on which the block is hung. The hook portion may be replaced by an apertured box to hold a block or crystals of material. The discs may be moulded integral with the stem and hook portions.
