804,675. Lavatory antiseptics and deodorants. WACHSMAN, S. Aug. 20, 1957 [Aug. 21, 1956], No. 25571/56. Class 81 (1). A hanger device for maintaining antiseptic and/ or deodorant material within a lavatory bowl, comprises a strip-like first part 2 for carrying said antiseptic and/or deodorant material, and a resilient second part 4 attached to one end of said first part and adapted to be retained with the outlet for the water supply to said bowl, the arrangement being such that the antiseptic and/or deodorant material is maintained within said bowl by connecting said material to said first part and by pushing said second part into said outlet, the dimensions of the resilient part in relation to the width or diameter of the water outlet, as the case may be, being such that slight compression of said resilient part allows it to enter said outlet, and that, when said resilient part is pushed into the water outlet and freely returns towards its original shape, it is retained in said outlet by the edges of the latter, and supports within the bowl the strip-like first part, and the material attached thereto. As shown, the striplike first part is integral at one end with the second part and has a hook-like other end 5 for suspending antiseptic and/or deodorant material therefrom. The block of antiseptic and/or deodorant material is generally caused to solidify over the free end 5 of the strip part 2 which need not then be in hook form or a piece of wire may be partly embedded in the block of material, the free portions of the wire being then attached to the strip 2 or hung over the end 5 if the wire is shaped as a ring.
