[Also in Group XVI] Rubber printing blocks are made by assembling an unvulcanized rubber support and a foil of thermoplastic synthetic resin, for example polyvinyl chloride, embossing and vulcanizing the rubber block and re-cooling the synthetic resin outer facing, which provides a hard, smooth printing surface.
