Abstract

A sheet of high hysteresis material (e.g. aluminium, reinforced plastic), is covered on both sides by a low hysteris, elastomeric material (e.g. urethane foam) which has a slow relaxation to its original state. The cushion is used as a surface onto which objects may fall without damage.
