Abstract
Table salt preparations which do not become lumpy in moist air contain a small amount, usually 0.1-5 per cent, of sodium aluminium silicate particles of size less than 0.1 micron and surface area of 10-200 sq. m/g. Preferred sodium aluminium silicate powders contain SiO2, Al2O3, Na2O in the proportions 67, 12, 9 and 65, 13.6, 8.5, the pH values of 20 per cent slurries being 10.5 and 10.7. The salt preparations may contain also sodium iodide and sodium thiosulphate.
