Abstract

810,034. Vices. BLAIR & CO. Ltd., G. June 21, 1955 [July 20, 1954], No. 21166/54. Class 61. In means for mounting a vice on a turntable the vice being of the kind having a hollow body a provided with a base flange the walls b of which are adapted to engage and co-act with a circular turntable c formed on a separate base member d and provided with a peripheral groove c<SP>1</SP>, the means comprise a bolt g passed through the base flange on the body of the vice and provided with adjustable means whereby the walls b of the flange can be deflected inwards so as to cause them temporally to grip the turntable. The intermediate part of the bolt g engages the peripheral groove c<SP>1</SP> in the turntable c. One end of the bolt is threaded at g<SP>2</SP> and fitted with a nut h whilst the other end of the bolt has a head g<SP>1</SP> which engages a shallow recess b<SP>2</SP> in the wall b.
